Story

I am running the 2016 London Marathon on 24th April in memory of my brother, Alan Day, who was sadly taken from us on 29th January 2015 after a long battle with depression.

Not enough is done to help people with depression and other mental health issues. Too many people - including doctors and medical staff - don't have an understanding of what depression truly means, which prevents sufferers being able to speak up and get the help that they need at the right time.

We chose to support Mind as a family because of the great work they do in providing support for people suffering through depression, but also the work they doing in raising awareness and doing research that will hopefully help more people in the future.
