108 Holes of Golf in 1 day (6 Rounds) · 23 June 2016

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

Hi Everyone and thank you for visiting.

In May 2013, My son, Thomas Griffiths Was diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL for short), when he was just 4 years old. All from a limp in his right leg that didn't go away for 2 weeks.

Since then , he has battled and fought the cancer, and is winning his fight, despite Numerous Lumbar Punctures, Bone Marrow Aspirates, Blood Transfusions, Phosphate infusions, Rounds of chemotherapy, Steroids, Septrin, blood tests and different types of antibiotics as and when required.

He is now in the home straight and all being well, We understand his final treatment date will be July 2016 (this is TBC). Tom then has to go 5 years with relapse before he deemed as "cured", and this will be just before his 13th birthday.

Also, Tom became a worldwide twitter superstar in August!! The TWeet (Link Below) was posted back in August 2015, the love shown by Twitter and social media has been simply amazing, and i still get comments today.

Tom was made a Mascot at the Home Game against West Brom (his 7th Birthday) and walked out with his Hero, Jack Grealish and got his match shirt, along with Jordan Amavi's and then was a guest on BRMB & Free Radio Legend, Tom Ross - GoalZone radio show, with Ian Taylor!

None of the above, however, would have been possible without the love, support and Treatment that the wonderful people at Birmingham Childerns Hospital have provided Thomas, and i want to say thank you by raising as much money as we physically can, but i need to do something that will push my skills and fitness to the limit, So. 6 rounds of golf in 1 day it is. 22.2 miles to walk, over 120ft in elevation changes plus the playing golf, it is going to be a long but enjoyable day!!
