I don’t believe that it is right that someone’s entire life is decided due to the situation they were born into. I was lucky enough to be brought up with a roof over my head and food on the table; sadly many people are not as lucky as I am.

I’m Hannah Carnegie, in June, after my Alevels, I am going to volunteer in Tanzania for 10 weeks with ICS Entrepreneur (International Citizen Service) and Raleigh International. I will be working alongside local Tanzanian volunteers to support entrepreneurs and small businesses, improving the lives and livelihoods of those living in poverty.

To fundraise I am doing a sponsored walk dressed as a giraffe - a hugely common animal in Tanzania! This is from my home (near Stoke Climsland) to Tavistock (about 10 miles) and I will be doing it on the 23rd May.

 I need to raise £800 for Raleigh International who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the developing communities where they work. You can check out their amazing work here http://www.raleighinternational.org/

All the money that I fundraise will go straight to them, it won’t cover any flight, travel, visa or any other expenses! It goes straight to the people who need it most.
