Story
We’re running 13.1 miles for a reason
One of our Writer people has been diagnosed with bowel cancer, completely out of the blue. Thankfully she’s doing great. But to show our support, ten of us here at The Writer are running Nike’s Run to the Beat half marathon in October for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Our friend’s in her twenties and, up until she was diagnosed, she was her usual chirpy self. Then one day she didn’t come in. She didn’t come in the next day either. Then, after two weeks, one of our creative directors filled us in.
If you can spare some pennies and donate them to us, you’ll be helping support our friend and people in a similar situation get through their cancer. And it’d spur us on when we’re digging deep to finish the race. It can be anything from what you’d normally spend on a coffee or croissant to what you’d spend on a car (okay, maybe not that much, unless you want to). Whatever you can afford, we’re very grateful.
Thanks and we’ll see you at the finishing line,
George, Harry, Anelia, Ed, Jo, Alex, Rosie, Rebecca, Paul, Michelle and everyone else at The Writer.
