We’re an independent charity working to improve lives of people with cancer and other serious conditions. We do this through medical research and by providing the best patient care using high quality scanners. Last year we scanned 18,000 patients giving them and their families hope for the future.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and a team of wonderful friends and family are running the British 10k on 9th of July  to raise money for The Paul Strickland Scanner at Mount Vernon in memory of my fabulous mum, Margaret. During the three years that she had cancer, she received outstanding care from the consultants, specialists, doctors and nurses at Mount Vernon hospital. This is where she was given regular scans pre and post chemotherapy treatments to help her try and stay ahead of the illness.

Once again, we have decided to raise money in her memory for this very worthwhile cause. Early diagnosis and the monitoring of cancer helps save lives. The Paul Strickland scanner charity is currently raising money to buy an additional and much needed scanner for the hospital. As you would imagine, these are extremely high tech and massively expensive pieces of equipment, Any money that we can raise will help to buy this invaluable scanner and in turn help others like Mum.

Thanks you all for your love and support,

Gina xxx
