This year my friend Arry Beresford-Webb circumnavigated Wales (over 1027miles) for Velidre and Gozo CCU. She did this all in 41 days - running pretty much a marathon every day - a monumental effort.

This run inspired me to do something of my own. Therefore at the start of June I decided to sign up to the Cardiff half marathon and began to run for the first time in over 12 years!! Needless to say some days I wish i hadn't started, but most of the time I'm happy I did.

I'm running to help Arry to reach her fundraising target, and also partly in memory of my grandmother Sally, who died of cancer when I was 10 years old at the age of 63.
