Story

30th May 2014 (date day)

I was really nervous on the day of the date and could barely get out of the car when I arrived at the skating rink! George was lovely though and the date went really well :-) We spent the afternoon ice skating and then went out for dinner in the evening.

We've also hit the £3,000 target so George is skydiving with me!Just before the date we reached our 2nd target so George will be putting on his parachute and jumping with me. So amazing that he pledged to do this :-)

George and his family have been so supportive to me and Tommy. Without them I wouldn't have raised £1,700 in the last three weeks and hit the £3,000 mark. I am so grateful to them.

Our next target is £4,000 so our fundraising continues......

There is currently no cure for Muscular Dystrophy so raising funds for research is so important. I'm just a mum wanting to do all I can to help my little boy.

16th May 2014

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has donated so far. I am totally overwhelmed with your support for me, Tommy and Muscular Dystrophy.

Today I hit £2,000 and I get my date with gorgeous Gogglebox George!

But I'm not stopping there.....I am determined to reach £3,000 so George will jump with me and I can raise even more money for MD.

The last week has been a frenzy of radio, press, twitter and FB trying to spread the word. A big thank you to George, Gemma Hume and Muscular Dystrophy Campaign for your help and support doing this.

Details of the date to follow..... I'll keep you all posted :-)

To support and help me reach £3,000 please text

Thank you :-)

11th May 2014

So the very gorgeous C4 Gogglebox George has agreed to take me on a date if I can reach £2,000 and has even said he'll jump with me if I can hit £3,000. How wonderful is that?

He is kindly tweeting about my jump so I can raise as much as I can for Muscular Dystrophy for vital research for my beautiful little Tommy.

I've set up a text code

"MUSC50 £3" which should be texted to 70070 for anyone wanting to support :-)

I'm hoping to spread the word as much as I can via social media and through the press. Thank you George this wouldn't be possible without you:-)

Check out the picture below :-)

February 2014

My beautiful little Tommy has been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. He is the light of my life and I love him more than anything else in the world. The news of his diagnosis has been devastating.

Muscular Dystrophy is untreatable and currently there is no cure. Muscles in the body deteriorate over time and mobility is affected. It is likely Tommy will struggle to get up stairs, run and walk and he may even suffer from heart problems.

Muscular Dystrophy is a rare condition and more money is needed to pay for research into finding a cure.

So I've decided to jump out of a plane!!

Apart from raising lots of money for MD I also want to show Tommy that you can conquer your fears and do things you never thought were possible. I want him to have this positive attitude to life. Throwing myself out of a plane is one of the most terrifying things I can think of doing. I don't like heights, I don't really like planes, I hate going fast and I don't even like rollercoasters so this challenge is absolutely perfect!!!

So if you'd like to sponsor me that would be fab. You can donate online here. Thank you!

Lots of love

Hayley
