My sister Hayley and I have decided to walk the coastal path around the Isle of wight over 4 days to raise money for the Wessex cancer trust. This seemed a great idea when it was first discussed but then found out it was 67 miles! Hence the 4 days to do it.
Our family know only to well how amazing Wessex Cancer Trust are at what they do for families like ours.
We found out back in February that our beautiful mum has brain cancer, since that day we have been going to Jane Scarth house based in Romsey for all of their help.
As most of you know this is the forth time cancer has attacked our family. Mum was diagnosed 6 years ago with breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy and chemotherapy, dad also had prostate cancer which he received surgery for, it returned years later so he had to have radiotherapy.
If you know our family, you'll know we are so close and strong as a team but having that extra support has helped us come to terms with things.
Jane Scarth house have been amazing at helping our folks, mum has been having regular reiki sessions, aromatherapy massage and reflexology. They are also due to go to the Wessex cancer trust camper van in the next couple of weeks. All of this is offered to the whole family completely free of charge. That's why it's so important to donate to them. They can only continue to help families like ours if we raise money for them.
Please please give what ever you can. Hayley and I really aren't built to do this well, or in a dignified manor so knowing that people are donating will keep us going!
Thanks everyone for your help
