Hazels Skydiving Challenge! · 9 May 2010

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

On the 9th of May 2010, I shall be undertaking the challenge better known as "the Great Nottingham Jump" by throwing myself out of a plane at 15,000ft, reaching speeds of 125mph but better still... all in the name of charity!!!

I shall be skydiving in the memory of Andrew Stringer, a close friend of a team member, who sadly died in 2006 at the age of 13 of a brain tumour. All the money I raise will be going to the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, which is the charity dedicated to adult and childhood brain tumour research in the UK. Their aim is to raise awareness, support and funds to help fight this devastating disease and give hope to brain tumour patients in the future.

I'm terribly petrified but at the same time I'm very excited to be raising such a large amount of money for such a good cause! Every penny donated will be so greatly appreciated, and I would like to thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

Thanks again,
Hazel Gilbert
