Story
Thanks for visiting our Team fundraising page. We've joined together to raise money for cancer services through the Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity - a Charity that is making a real difference to patients and their families that use our vital Hospital services.
On Saturday 30th June 2018, we will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge is a 24 mile hike through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National park, climbing the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
One of the main areas we would like the money raised to go towards is improving our Breast Cancer Services. One in eight women will develop breast cancer at some point in their life time, with over 50,000 women diagnosed with the disease each year in the UK. In Harrogate, the incidence of breast cancer is significantly higher than the national average, highlighting how important it is that we continue to support this service.
With this in mind, the money we raise will be used to fund specialist equipment, training and services to improve the treatment and facilities for our patients and staff. We want every person affected by cancer that uses our services to get the best possible treatment, and your donation will help us to achieve that.
