Head For Edinburgh Cycle 2023

A group of cyclists, including former Welsh International Alix Popham, will take on the huge challenge of cycling from Cardiff to Edinburgh for Head for Change in early February 2023.



What is extra special about this challenge is that Alix Popham’s youngest daughter’s school, Langstone Primary School, is taking on the challenge too!



All pupils and teachers will be joining the challenge virtually, cycling from Cardiff to Edinburgh on static bikes in school while Alix and the group of cyclists take on the 450 mile challenge that will be made all the more difficult by lack of daylight hours and potentially inclement weather.

The aim of the cycle challenge is to raise awareness of the issues and all the money raised from this event will be going directly to fund Head for Change’s education programme that is due to launch this year in schools and grassroots rugby!

Head for Change is a start up charitable foundation, pioneering positive change for brain health in sport and supporting ex-players who are affected by neurodegenerative disease as a result of their professional sporting career in football or rugby.
