We together, once the gift aid is added in, have raised £1500 for undertaking the SCOPE White Peaks Challenge in Austria between March 15th and 18th. Got to say that the wheather made it a real challenge indeed (i.e. we couldn't see - it was snowing pretty much constantly !!).

anyway, It was a 3 day challenge event and I skied 24 peaks in just 48hours....with some great 'bouncy tigger type characters' from all over the country. The team spirit got me through for sure. Thanks to my new snow loving friends!!

SCOPE is about cerebral palsy. It is a charity for disabled people to achieve equality. The photo opposite shows me with my colelcting buckets donning a ski-jacket kindly donated to me by Ellis Brigham and standing next to Gary Fisher who also received a free ski jacket from Sail and Ski shop (not featured but he was delighted with it). Fred, in the backgoround  is the local co-ordinator for our SCOPE centre activities. Gary participates in the day centre work in my home town of Chester, UK and would like to become a radio presenter, if he could get the right guidance and training.

PS I would totally recommend for anyone who is fit and able to undertake a challenge activity fund raise for SCOPE. It was so well orgainsed and fun. The network opportunites are fantastic. I totally encourage you to google SCOPE and check out their challenge activity, i'm sure you won't regret it.
