It's amazing how much  life changes as a result of a phone call.  That's what happened to us on the 15 December 2008 when my mum called me out of a meeting at work to let me know that she has cancer.  My precious mum has that awful and terrifying disease.  I even struggle to say the word, it scares me so much.

As many of you will know, cancer is not just a physical illness, it has immense emotional and psychological implications for everyone - the sufferer and their family.  Consequently recovering from cancer requires a holistic approach, treating the physical, emotional and spiritual symptoms.  Penny Brohn provides care, support, advice, therapy and counselling to complement the fantastic medical treatments of cancer.  It also provides much needed support for the families of sufferers.
