Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year we will be collecting for The Noah's Ark appeal. This charity is important to us because as many of you are aware, we have had to go through more hospital appointments than many with our son Joe. Last year we were directed to the Children's Hospital in Cardiff and were in awe of the service that they provide and wish that it had been around years before. However, far more importantly, my friend Lisa James gave birth to a beautiful little girl Georgia back in September 2012. Georgia was born with a condition called Gastroschisis. She has had to live at the hospital since birth and is now 14 months old. Lisa can't speak highly enough of the staff and shortly, Georgia is able to come home to live after lots of training on how to administer her medication. However, her appointments will continue for the rest of her life as she also has intestinal failure. This year, Noah's Ark are doing a Christmas Stocking Appeal to raise money for equipment for a new paediatric critical care unit in the new phase of the hospital.
I can't thank everybody enough for the support that you gave us last year and I would please ask that once again, instead of sending us Christmas cards as a family, you make a small donation to this charity. In addition, we would love to see as many people as possible coming to visit our annual 'over the top' garden and again, make a small donation. There will be a box positioned in the bottom of the garden for this. We are hoping that we can make a small difference by helping this amazing cause which we believe will make an enormous differnce to the care provided for children in Wales. Many thanks to everyone who takes time to read and donate. Helen and Rob.
