I’m fundraising for Tenovus Cancer Care as they bring treatment, emotional support and practical advice to the heart of the community.They’ve helped thousands of cancer patients cope after a diagnosis, and given them hope for the future. But Tenovus Cancer Care needs our support today so that they can be there tomorrow. Your donation will mean that they can continue to support cancer patients and their loved ones, promote healthy lifestyles and fund cancer research to find new ways to prevent it, diagnose it, and treat it.

I'm taking on this challenge because I'm a bit of a home bird and although I consider myself active and up for anything I've rarely been tested in this realm so here I am just going for it. Don't get me wrong, the nerd in me is excited to see the ruins and learn about the history and culture of Peru, but trekking for 10 days, there's surely easier ways to do it?! 

I'm looking forward to joining with the other trekkers for the opportunity of a lifetime, particularly because I'll be sharing the experience with my twin sister who now lives in Canada!

I've been lucky enough to work for Tenovus Cancer Care for 5 years covering 4 separate roles. I love working here and being surrounded by passionate people to really make a difference for the lives of people affected by cancer.

We're innovative in a delivery of support from our mobile units, Sing with Us choirs, money advice and we continue to innovate by providing our brand new service (which I'm leading) ACTivate Your Life - Affected By Cancer. Not forgetting the incredible laboratory and community based research we fund. 

I look forward to going to work everyday as I know we're making a difference.
