Red Bull Timelaps · 26 October 2019

We stop men dying by suicide. Since opening in 2018, we’ve helped more than 5,100 suicidal men access free, life-saving therapy at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle. 75% of deaths by suicide are men, but suicides are preventable. Donate today to help save lives.

Story

James' Place is an intiative formed by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley, as part of the James Wentworth-Stanley Memorial Fund which they founded in 2008, after they tragically lost their twenty-one-year-old son, James, ten days following a minor operation. James went looking for someone to talk to about his anxiety and suicidal thoughts but sadly didn't find the urgent help he so desperately needed within a system that is already stretched to breaking point. As a result, Clare and Nick have set up James' Place to address this very issue to support and listen to men who would like to talk and share how they are feeling, with people who understand and care, during their time of need.

To help support the support this incredible cause we are participating in the Red Bull Timelaps. It is the world's longest one-day road cycling event. As summer fades to winter, the team consisting of  Henry Gore, Jasper Upton, Jamie Grayson and Jamie Gregory will race through the night on the weekend the clocks go back in the UK, making it a gruelling 25-hour race against time. The team hopes to complete 650 km in the allotted time raising money for the amazing mental health charity that is James' Place.

We would be incredibly grateful for any donations no matter how small, to aid James' Places goal of opening a new centre in London in the near future.

Thank you!
