We fund life changing research to change the future of spinal cord injury

Story

While on holiday in Portugal in 2005 my flatmate's brother, James, had a freak diving accident and broke his neck at C5, leaving him paralysed from the chest down. Through James's determination and courage he has already made considerable progress, however he is relying on medical advancements to get back on his feet. Spinal Research campaigns for greater awareness of spinal cord injury and funds pioneering research across the world. In order for Clinical Trials to take place, it is crucial that the necessary funds are raised so that potential treatments can start as soon as possible. I am running the London marathon to raise money for Spinal Research. I'm doing this with James' sister Elly, and my other flatmate Katie. My experience of running to date has involved hiding under bridges on school cross country runs...it hardly needs to be said that our flat has never before seen so much lycra! Please sponsor me in this endeavour... Thank you so much for your support, Hermione x
