The Big Sleep Out 2018 Sponsored by The Nottingham · 24 November 2018 ·

Framework is a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs. We empower people to achieve financial stability, social inclusion and independence.

Story

High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire Nick Ebbs says: "My infamous medieval predecessor is best known for persecuting those in greatest need. I am pleased to have the opportunity to use my year in office to do precisely the opposite. I made a commitment at my inauguration to help homeless people across Nottinghamshire and this is a perfect opportunity to do just that.

By taking part in the Big Sleep Out I hope not only to raise a considerable sum of money, but also to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness and the brilliant work that Framework do in our community.

I know it will be cold and uncomfortable, but I also know that taking part in the Big Sleep Out will be a really rewarding experience – a chance to get together with like-minded people and learn more about the challenges of homelessness."

Under Sheriff Deborah Hutchinson says:

"My duty as Under Sheriff is to support the role of the High
Sheriff, even if that means sleeping rough for the night. I have the comfort of knowing that it will be just that one night but with your help we will be helping those for whom it is every night."
