I can't pretend I have not done a sky dive before because I have! However, when my fabulous friend, Claire, asked me if I would do a skydive with her I couldn't resist and so here we are.

It is something I have always wanted to do again and so I thought I would use it as an excuse to not only support Claire and her chosen charity (Cancer Research) but use it as platform to introduce a charity that that most, if not all, of you have probably never heard of.

The Buddy Bag Foundation was created in response to the rising number of children who enter emergency care after fleeing violent situations at home. Restoring a sense of safety and security into a child’s life during a traumatic time is one of the first steps to recovery.

The Buddy Bag Foundation provide these children with a few essential items (A Buddy Bag) that can help make the transition into emergency care a little easier and provide comfort when all else has been removed.

A Buddy Bag is a backpack that contains all the essential items a child needs. They include toiletries, pyjamas, socks and underwear. They also include comfort items such as a book, a photo frame and a teddy bear. A Buddy Bag is something a child can call their own, no matter where they go.

Each donation of £25.00 ensures that one child will receive a complete Buddy Bag full of essential items .

A donation of £20.00 helps us to provide toiletries, underwear, pyjamas and a cuddly teddy bear to a child in need

A donation of £15.00 helps us to provide toiletries, underwear and pyjamas to a child in need.

A donation of £5.00 helps us to provide toiletries to a child in need.

No donation is too small, anything that you can spare will be appreciated by any of the 48,000 children that require emergency care in the UK each year.

I will be paying for the skydive myself. All donations will be given to the charity.
