Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathlon (walking or running 20 miles and cycling 30 miles) across Scotland from Kintail to Beauly. The event is organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities across the Highlands. Since 1983, over £6.3m has been raised and distributed in full to deserving causes.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please sponsor us online.

Mark Cunningham-Dickie, Julian Fennema and Grant Nicolle have foolishly entered a team into the Highland Cross event for 2008. It is a 20 mile cross country run (with hills!) and then a 30 miles cycle. This all takes place on 21 June in the NW of Scotland starting on the west coast at Kintail and finishing near Inverness at Beauly. The record is 3.5 hours but we will hope to complete it in around 5.5 hours and that is with a good deal of prior training. To see which local charities the event raises money for please go to www.highlandcross.co.uk

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Highland Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
