23/4/2006Jo  Shel

It's all over bar the pain! Jo and Shel finished the run in 4 hours and 55 minutes and their friends and families are immensely proud of them! They want to say thanks to all those who cheered them on. The atmosphere was brilliant and they really appreciated so many supporters at various points along the route and the back-up of the Macmillan team. At 16 miles there was a bit of a crisis but they got through it and managed to finish. Not bad for a couple of hockey crocks....the wonders of modern surgery.

Jo was delighted to see one of her heroines, Sally Gunnell - Shel was less impressed. There is still time to sponsor them if you haven't already but they are really grateful to all those who have dug deep so far. Macmillan is such a good cause, especially as most of us know someone battling cancer who has been helped by Macmillan.
