Framework - Framework's Big Sleep Out - Nottingham 2011 · 12 November 2011 ·

Framework is a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs. We empower people to achieve financial stability, social inclusion and independence.

Story

This year, a more random collection of people than usual are taking part in the Big Sleep Out to raise money for Framework. Government cuts have savagely affected the work homelessness charities can do, and our going homeless (and freezing every element of our body) for the night gives you the chance to help some of the most vulnerable in society.

Ferg Slade (Nottingham CVS and Foremans Bar staff member and pest) and Maxine Abbott Nottingham CVS volunteer and Nottingham Trent University student) did this last year for a different project and probably want to know why they're doing it again. To help, they'll be joined by:

- Ian Scruffykid (Foremans Bar manager),
- 'Pirate' Paul Kennedy (Foremans resident, erm, pirate)
- Cheesy (Foremans Bar's only ginger regular),
- Sarah Esau (Max's mate who probably doesn't know what she's let herself in for),
- Chris Pryke (staff member at Nottingham CVS and formerly Ecoworks), and
- Ceri Hendy ('Chris's fiancé and all round brave soul. Y'know, for the sleep out and for being Chris's fiancé...)

Please donate as much or as little as you can, and think of us when you're in your centrally heated homes on 10th November. If you can't donate, please pass this page on to someone who might.

Thank you :)
