Story
On 20 July 1982, an IRA bomb was detonated at Hyde Park. Four soldiers and seven horses of the Blues and Royals, my father's regiment, were killed. This happened a matter of weeks after victory was declared in the Falklands war where the Household Cavalry served and were instrumental in the victories at Tumbledown and Wireless Ridge.
The Household Cavalry Foundation exists to provide charitable and pastoral support to all the members of Household Cavalry family: serving Soldiers, Operational Casualties and Veterans. They constantly need financial support.
To commemorate the four soldiers killed (Lt. Daly, Staff Cpl Bright, L Cpl Young and Trooper Tipper) I will be running four half-marathons to raise funds for the HCF, starting in September.

If you would like to support me in this, any donations would be immensely appreciated.
