Story
Since the Covid lockdown, like a lot of folks, I have been trying out different forms of exercise, often in the confines of our modest north London garden. One of the things that I've most enjoyed is, bizarrely, skipping! Yes, the skipping rope came down from our loft a few weeks ago and I have been re-living my primary school glory days ever since!
So...my challenge (now completed - https://www.facebook.com/hugh.anderson.92/posts/10103017801873263?notif_id=1587935936212090¬if_t=feedback_reaction_generic) was to skip 2,600 times during the day on Sunday 26th April. This was done in sets of 130 skips at 30 minute intervals between 7.30am and 6.30pm. It included a break at lunch to replenish on carbs and get a haircut! It was all recorded in time lapse fashion and you can see for yourself at the Facebook page above.
Resources for Autism, like many charities, have been hit hard by Covid-19. The majority of our services have had to stop, local authority funding has been jeopardised and many typical fundraising opportunities have hit a dead end. I have been working for the charity since 2016 and the organisation has a wonderful ethos and spirit. We provide practical and emotional support to people of all ages with a diagnosis of autism. Any donation you are able to make would be greatly appreciated!
