Story
Hello everyone!
In October I'm going to be working to get more than 500 people off the street and to give them a new life with jobs, education, homes, reuniting with their families and good health through the beautiful sport of football. Your donation will directly affect these people and the results are that more than 70% of players coming off drugs and alcohol with some even becoming players and coaches for pro and semi-pro football teams.
I will be one of just 20 global volunteers (first to be selected from Asia) at the 2014 Homeless World Cup (HWC), in Santiago, Chile. The charity takes a team of homeless people from 70 nations to Santiago in October to raise money and awareness and to play wonderful football. Last year, over 103,000 people were involved in the international football programmes organised by HWC. My primary duties there will be to assist with event management and social media coordination.
I have to raise a minimum of £750 (HKD 10,000 / CAD1,400) - this pays for housing of players, volunteers, purchasing equipment, renting venues and other operating costs of the event. I will be working hard to raise the money and take part in other events, like helping out with PR and event management for the Hong Kong National Team who will be representing Hong Kong in Chile.
The Homeless World Cup is supported by UEFA, Nike, United Nations, Manchester United & Real Madrid and has ambassadors including Eric Cantona, Didier Drogba and Rio Ferdinand. It's a wonderful charity, based in Scotland, creating a positive future for homeless people. If you have time, watch this documentary Offsight that talks about the HWC and the 2011 Homeless World Cup in Paris, France:

I need all the help I can get. Small donations add up! Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you show some support to HWC!
6 August 2014 Update: Raised the minimum! Now for the challenger: £1,150 / CAD 2,125 / HKD 15,000
