Bath Half Marathon 2019 · 17 March 2019 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Parkinson’s Disease will affect one in every 350 adults – which could be you or a close family member.

My Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease a few years ago, so I am running the 2019 Bath Half Marathon in support of Parkinson’s UK.  This is a wonderful organisation which does some incredible work to further our understanding of the disease with a view to one day finding a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

As you would expect, for Dad, some days are better than others.  What amazes me however is his unrelenting strength of character to never let it get the better of him.  He is a fighter.

I am running the Bath Half Marathon on 17th March to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease and hopefully raise a small amount of money to contribute to the ongoing research of Parkinson’s UK.

Most importantly, I am running because I love my Dad!

If you are able to make a small donation to Parkinson’s UK on this page I would hugely appreciate it.

Thank you

Iain
