Story

Text ICED55 £5 to 70070 to donate £5 to the MND Association for the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Anthony Senerchia is from Pelham, New York and is suffering from ALS. He and his family were challenged to do the Ice Bucket Challenge by golfer Chris Kennedy. At that time, it wasn't really being done for any particular charity,  but it was quickly decided that funds would be raised for the ALS Association.

Former Boston College basketball player, Peter Frates, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2012, put it out on his own social media sites and the challenge quickly went viral.

To date, the ALSA.org have received donations in excess of $200 Million. This will aid research into ALS and MND all over the world.

So, we've brought it over to this side of the pond to raise funds for the MND Association in the UK.

What do you have to do? It's easy - pour a bucket of ice water over your head. The bigger the bucket, the better - although you may need a friend to help you.

And of course we want to see a video, so make sure someone is filming it for you.

You should nominate 3 friends to do it once you've done your challenge. They either do it and make a small donation, or pay a fine to get out of it.

There's no minimum donation - all donations will be gratefully accepted.
