Story
For 30 years the Sultan Bahu Masjid has been providing a daily communal Iftar. In keeping that spirit alive, this Ramadan the Bahu Trust is delivering a warm Iftar meal to those struggling through difficult times.
COVID-19 has taken its toll in our area, causing deaths, illnesses and economic despair.
“He is not a believer who’s stomach is full while his neighbour is hungry” - Prophet Muhammad. In a fair and compassionate society, we are all reliant on each other for support in difficult times. We are stronger when we help and support each other and this is exactly what Ramadan is about - compassion and consideration.
The Gift of Iftar will include dates, fruit, biriyani/pilau rice, 2 starters and a fruit juice. Each iftar pack cost approx. A team of volunteers will prepare and distribute the box freshly everyday taking into consideration social distancing guidelines. We will be distributing to 100-150 households every day
Please donate your Sadaqah and other forms of donations towards those in need, right here at home -either elderly or living in isolation with no support or for those who are vulnerable in many ways.
You can help by donating any amount or you can sponsor an entire day for £300
