We provide support, advice and housing for people experiencing a problem with their mental health here in Birmingham. Last year 25,850 people accessed our services. We could not provide these services without your support. It makes a real difference to people in our community, thank you.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 7 September 2019, I am doing the Rough Runner London North 10k obstacle race, to raise money for the mental health charity Mind. This is in memory of my younger brother Aidan, in the month that he would have celebrated his 21st birthday.

It was always a sheer delight to be in Aidan's company: he was so fun-loving, so chilled, and always inclusive of everyone around him. Whether you needed an empathetic ear, a shoulder to lean on or someone to have fun with, he would be there. His sense of humour could be relied on to lighten your day; and his relaxed nature would make your worries disappear.

Aidan had a fantastic ability to lift spirits, and it is fitting for this legacy to continue by supporting people experiencing issues with their mental health. Your donations will help Mind to run mental health services and campaign for better mental health provisions.

Aidan would no doubt be in hysterics at the thought of me doing anything physically exerting in his memory. Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated.
