We provide high-quality specialist care to local people with serious illnesses

Story

From 22 - 24 July, James, Melissa, Rory and Jemima will cycle from Bath to Eton via Marlborough and Pangbourne in memory of Sue Watkinson. At a distance of 100 miles, this will – hopefully – be enjoyable and challenging in equal measure and an opportunity to remember our wonderful friend and colleague. Sue is missed not only by the four of us but also by boys and parents (past and present), and all those she touched in the Eton community. Above all she cared deeply about the boys in the house and her legacy in College is one of compassion, kindness and laughter. In her final days, Sue was very well-cared for at St Giles Hospice in Lichfield. The staff gave her support and reassurance when they went into lockdown and we see this as an opportunity to help in their future work. They have been a registered charity since 1983, have hospices in Walsall and Sutton Coldfield as well as Lichfield, and were rated ‘Outstanding’ in January 2020 by the Care Quality Commission. Please give whatever you can to keep us peddling in Sue’s memory! Thank you.
