This is the third year that Sassie and I have raced for life. This year Jane died. I lost a friend, and Sassie's friend lost her mum. Jane hated the rhetoric of "fighting" cancer, because cancers are part of us. Whether she hated it or not, I have never seen anyone fight as hard to live. 

Race for Life is not the only way to raise money for research into cancer. Our reason for running this year is in memory of Jane, and for all the other people we know who live with cancer.

Of course we would love to ask you to dig deep. But more importantly we want to ask you to love yourselves and your beautiful lives.
