Story

In loving memory of Edward Dyson

Edward was 30 when he died on 13th February 2009. He had battled a brain tumour for two years and was survived by his wife, Victoria and their 15-month-old son, Harry.

In his memory, our family set up a fundraising group within the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, now The Brain Tumour Charity, to support it’s vital, ground-breaking work. Through raising money in Edward’s memory, our aim is to help other individuals and families affected by brain tumours, and to support the charity’s research which strives to change the devastating outcomes of this disease.

Edward was an active, sports enthusiast with a love for travel and a passion for organising big family gatherings abroad. We are so grateful for the incredible support from his friends, our extended family and wider community, whose many inspiring fundraising efforts have truly reflected Edward’s adventurous spirit, deep commitment to family and his boundless energy.

Just two years after Edward died, we far surpassed our initial fundraising expectations, raising over £27,000 through generous sponsorship, donations and gift aid. Over the following decade, that total grew to more than £70,000! This incredible achievement only strengthened our commitment to supporting this important charity and we sincerely thank you for your support in visiting this page.
