Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In august2018 we sadly said Goodbye to our mum, Fran after a short battle with Lung cancer.

We were so very lucky that she lived out her last weeks in the safety and security of the martlets hospice. We also had the most amazing support from counsellor's, the Chaplin, nurses and volunteers.

Mum was very much a fun loving person who always looked on the bright side of life. Her light hearted spirit is what everyone will always remember about her so that is why we want to organise and raise as many funds as possible with fun events for everyone to enjoy and take part in. Something she would love to take part in herself.

Over the next year we aim to raise as much money as possible with cake sales, competitions, quiz nights, raffles, general events and open days at local business' as well as events such as the Brighton half and full marathon.

We appreciate all the donations made to the martlets in memory of mum which were donated in respect rather than flowers but now we want more.... PLEASEEEEEE.

Donating to a hospice is investing in care you or someone close to you may need in the future. Whether it be out patient support or palliative care. We really want to help at least one family with their vital care at these times in which guidance, reassurance and support is needed and which the Martlets provides so fantastically.

The NHS fund 20% towards the hospice and it costs nearly 7 million pound a year to run. So lets get cracking and make some money having some fun in memory of our beloved Mum, Nanny and Friend  Fran.
