Flora London Marathon 2006 · 23 April 2006 ·

Our vision is that patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in our area can choose how and where they want to be cared for towards the end of life. We provide 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home care and support for all the family during the illness and through bereavement.

Story

The reason why I am running for Iain Rennie is that a great friend of our family  was a patient of Iain Rennie.  The family said that due to Iain Rennie their friend was cared for at home among his family, friends and loved ones which is what he really wanted. The IRHH nurses gave tremendous support to him and his family during a very difficult and emotional time. Consequently our family friend was allowed to die in a dignified and personal manner at home.

I know that if I ever had a terminal illness, without a doubt, I would want to be cared for by a charity like Iain Rennie.

I feel very strongly about Iain Rennie Hospice At Home as it is a local charity giving enormous support and help to so many other families  in the Chilterns region.

Thank you so much for your support - I will be in touch again after the Marathon.
