Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Vicar of Tenterden Trust was set up a few years ago to provide small cash donations to people in and around Tenterden who fall short of funds for specific situations. The Trustees are the Vicar of Tenterden, the Head of the Junior School, The Manager of the Day Centre and the Senior Doctor at the GP Surgery as these people were felt to be the eyes and ears of the local community. So far we have assisted elderly persons to stay independent in their homes by providing the means to purchase disability aids and appliances. We have funded rail fares for a family to make multiple visits to a sick child in hospital in London. We have provided funds for a twin child to go on an educational trip with her school as the family could not afford for both children to go.

Last year, you kindly supported us as we hurled ourselves off a cliff-face in Folkestone. This time, we plan to do a very muddy and (we are reliably informed) arduous assault course...and promise you photographic evidence if you sponsor us!

The money we raise is divided between our charity and the local newspaper's own community charity who have a glowing record of support for walking bus and literacy projects in Kent schools.
