Jaguar Land Rover Powertrain Operations (JLR PTO) Cycling Challenge.
On Sunday 28 April 29, 2013 a team of cyclists participated in a Jaguar Land Rover Powertrain Operation Cycling Challenge. The team of 23 Cyclists (with 4 in support) cycled 56 miles from JLR’s new Engine Manufacturing Centre (EMC) near Wolverhampton to JLR’s Whitley site.
The team comprised of riders from JLR PTO, South Staffordshire Council and ADI (one of the facility contractors for EMC) . In good weather conditions the riders followed the canals of the Midlands from the EMC. With scheduled stops Brindley Place, Kings Norton, Hockley Heath and finally Hatton Locks. The last stretch was along minor roads, to Whitley site.
The riders completing the 56 mile route in 7 hours, with only 6 punctures en route
