Our eldest daughter died very suddenly on the 30th April 2002 aged 11 years and 11days
Jaimes Fund was set up to initially raise money for Pendlebury Childrens Hospital where Jaime was briefly a patient.Two highly specialised incubators called 'baby pods' were purchased our way of saying thank you for the kindness and compassion shown to both Jaime and all her family.
The fund has since raised over £50k and contributed to a range of projects in the local area, all of which bear Jaimes name. The fund has contributed £12k to create and equip a research centre and library at Woodhouses Primary School where Jaime was a pupil.

We also sponsor a local football team, Failsworth Dynamos, and are proud to see the Under 9's and Under 7's teams wearing shirts sponsored by the fund.
This year Jaimes Fund is working in partnership with The Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. The fund is committed to raising funds for the Intensive Care Unit at the new hospital. Many of the staff who helped to care for Jaime during her short stay at Pendlebury are now continuing to care for children at the new hospital. The money raised will ensure the unit continues to help children by matching their skill and dedication with the best equipment and resources available.

I will be completing a number of events throughout the year starting with the Manchester 10k on 16th May. Done in 53mins 38secs. really pleased with the time, next event:

City of Manchester 10k 4th July. Done in 49mins 41secs. really pleased with the 4 min improvement on my previous time. Next event:

BUPA Great North Run 19th Sept. Keep watching for update. Done in 2hrs 3mins, not bad despite getting stuck behind a sunflower for 3miles!!!!!. NEW YORK here I come!!!!!!!!

The main focus of my efforts this year will be my participation in the 2010 New York City Marathon, one of the greatest marathons in the world and a fitting tribute to Jaime.  New York Marathon done in 4hrs 25mins, fantastic day.
