The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

On Friday Jakson is going to attempt a 2.6km "ride" around the local area on his hobby horse.

We'll be attempting to track his progress by GPS and upload videos of the event. The plan is to trot as much of the route as possible without stopping, though knowing Jakson a fair amount of galloping and other shenanigans is highly likely.

Jakson has been riding Exmoor ponies since before he could walk, and is lucky enough to count the ponies of The Moorland Mousie Trust among his equine friends. The lockdown has prevented him from spending time with Rama, Tom, Fudge and his other chums but he has been inspired by his Auntie Linzi's  2.6 Challenge to do something to help the charity stay afloat so he is able to see them again.

During the spring/summer season this small local charity usually generates about £45,000 mostly from activities and events at the Exmoor Pony Centre, which are not able to proceed this year. Jakson is trying to help towards the charity's aim of raising £35,000 to help reduce their losses over this period.

Jakson would really appreciate any support you can give.

Thank you
