Climbing Kilimanjaro - June 13th 2018 · 13 June 2018

BRACE funds world-class clinical and laboratory research into dementia to find better treatments, achieve earlier diagnosis and, one day, a cure. Together we will defeat dementia.

Story

As part of the ea Foundations commitment to supporting our local communities and our target of raising £20K for our nominated charity partners, the Bristol office have nominated to support Brace (https://www.alzheimers-brace.org/) as our charity this year. In order to raise funds for this fantastic charity, I have decided to go up a rather large mountain. On June 13th myself and Daniel Sutherland of ea Change Group, will climb Kilimanjaro. Please donate kindly, thank you in advance.

I have first hand experience of the affect Alzheimer's has on a family with my mother-in-law and grandfather having both been diagnosed with the disease. We've received invaluable support and guidance  from the various Alzheimer's organisations we've been in contact with and they have helped us to feel less isolated and more prepared for what’s ahead. Alzheimer's has a massive affect on the whole family and anything we can do to raise awareness and funding for these organisations can only help in the progress to beat dementia

BRACE exists to defeat dementia. They aim to help: Provide the means by which medical science comes to understand what causes dementia in its various forms. Achieve earlier diagnosis of dementia, thereby giving new treatments and knowledge of prevention more time to make a difference. Find new and more powerful treatments. Our area of benefit is the whole human race – anyone, anywhere who might one day develop dementia. https://www.alzheimers-brace.org/
