Hello everyone. 3 friends and I are currently in the application process of joining the Royal Marines Reserves.

We have decided to take part in the prolific 17K Commando Challenge endurance run. It is a gruelling 17km run consisting of all 3 aspects of the Royal Marine commando endurance course based around Woobdury Common down in Devon, a short distance away from the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines HQ in Lystone in Devon (CTCRM).

It's a messy event which consists of getting dirty in the mud, water, cross country, pitch black tunnels and various obstacles. Please donate anything you can. We owe these guys so much more than people realise. We have a fantastic way of life here in the UK and we owe it to all our armed forces for all the hard work they do. No matter how big or small the task or mission may be, no matter how hard or simple it is to understand why we do what we do or go where we go. It has all added up over many decades to provide us with this blanket of security and safety we all know today by living in this lovely place on Earth called the UK. They do what they do not for recognition but because they want to do their part in keeping their country safe and providing their fellow countrymen with a place to live where they need not worry nor fear any threats. Our armed forces do their job so well for so many decades that it's a luxoury to live here in the UK. Most people don't even think about the possibilty of our nation being attacked or threatend. That's because our guys do their job so well and go to places unquestioned. All so we can live in a place where peace is a subtle luxoury.
