We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

In May this year, I'll be running the Edinburgh Marathon and want to raise money for a charity close to the hearts of many people at Furze Platt Junior School - for children, families and staff who have been affected by cancer.

It's obvious to say that cancer doesn't just affect the sufferer; we are inspired everyday by brave children who have to deal with things that must be impossible for adults to face, let alone children.

Donations will go towards funding vital research that could lead to a cure and developing treatments that will give people more time with their loved ones.

'Never a full marathon' is often the first thought I have as I finish a half marathon and considering my recent injury record, your support would be very much appreciated...please donate!
