We believe that no life should be half lived. 1 in 5 people in Scotland are struggling with a chest, heart or stroke condition. We won't live with that. Join us to support people to live life to the full. #NoLifeHalfLived

Story

As most of you know, On 21st Febuary 2012 Jamie sadly lost her mum, Joanne Hamilton.

Joanne was an incredible and brave woman. Having suffered a stroke at the age of only 45, her life and our lives were devastated and turned upside down. Her recovery was an immense struggle, but she was determined to carry on and live her life.

She found comfort in volunteering for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland in their charity shop in Haddington. This was something she loved, meeting new people and getting out of the house, it helped her to rebuild her confidence after such a devastating and life changing event.

Sadly on the 21st Febuary 2012, Jamie's mum suffered a catastrophic stroke from which she could not recover, and she passed away in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with her family around her. Her death was sudden and unexpected but we are comforted by the knowledge that she has touched so many lives and even in death has helped so many, by selflessly donating her organs.

Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland helped Jamie's mum immensely with her recovery from her first stroke and it was a charity very close to her heart. Now that she has gone, we want to raise as much money as possible for CHSS in her memory  so that she will never be forgotten.

As she cannot be with us on our special day we have created this page so that our guests can make a donation in her memory as an alternative wedding gift.

The Joanne Hamilton Sapphire Tribute Fund has so far raised nearly £6000 for CHSS since 2012. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly received and continue to support CHSS in the incredible work they do.

We can't wait to spend our special day with you all.

Jamie and Jesper xx
