I was in Sri Lanka at the time of the Asia tsunami in 2004. In the immediate aftermath, along with some other survivors, I set up a charity to provide emergency relief to those families whose lives had been torn apart.

Today, nearly 10 years later, Rebuilding Sri Lanka has built schools, a village, over 300 transitional homes, restored over 1,000 livelihoods, built  a Special Needs School, built tuition Centres and established Libraries (currently over 10,000 members countrywide).

It is my greatest wish to continue serving the people of Sri Lanka until I take my last breath. They have taught me more than I can ever repay.
