Janet & Yvonne are volunteering to work in Tanzania with Bridge2aid on  8^rd March 2015  for 2 and a half weeks. Bridge2Aid is a dental charity that provides dental care and education in rural areas of Africa. We will travel with a team of 10 dentists, hygienists and nurses to work in clinics training Tanzanian Health Workers in the skills required to provide long-term and emergency dental care in rural areas of Tanzania. Many of these people in their communities have been in severe pain for days , months and even years and are so grateful to be given relief from pain.

Janet and Yvonne have worked together for over 25 years and they would like to offer their experience, knowledge and skills in a meaningful way and give something back to the dental profession for such a worthy cause. This will be Janet's third dental charity trip previously working in Vietnam and Morocco. Her overwhelming energy and passion to make a difference has inspired Yvonne to join her.

We are aiming to raise £5000 for the charity Bridge2aid which uses this money towards the various costs and training involved.

 Bridge2Aid empowers Health Workers who are already established and well respected members of rural communities, providing them with the skills, experience and equipment to help those in need. Training is carried out by volunteer dentists , hygienists and dental nurses who spend approximately two weeks in East Africa with Bridge2Aid participating in a Dental Volunteer Programme."
