My mother was diagnosed with cancer of the Oesophagus in the summer of 2005.  She passed away peacefully on Friday, 2nd March 2007 around 06.50 in the morning.  Janice was laid to rest in the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester, Kent.  As a way to repay the Widsom Hospice for everything they did for my mother, i have decided to swim 10km (around 400 lengths of a 25m pool) at Maidstone Leisure Centre on Wednesday, 1st August 2007 to raise money for such a good cause.

Whilst my mother was in the Wisdom Hospice, herself and the family were offered tremendous support that couldnt be faulted.  Whenever my mother was in pain, they made her restful very quickly again, and i couldnt think of a nicer and safer place for my mother to pass away.  The staff were extremely helpful and very compassionate and now i feel not only would i like to honour my mother, but also help the hospice out for their work, even though it was invaluable.  So please donate generously as they are a great cause.

I would like to raise £1500 to support the Friends of Wisdom Hospice who need to raise £1500 every single day just to cover a 1/3 of the costs the Wisdom Hospice needs to run every single day to offer support to its patients and to their relatives to which we owe so much to.
