Story

The Mae Murray Foundation is a charity that I have supported since it began many years ago. Throughout that time, they have offered so many wonderful opportunities to children and adults to take part in a variety of different activities, from sit down surfing, residentials, summer schemes and so much more. The most important part, they are 100% inclusive of EVERYBODY!

During this really difficult time for children and adults alike the MMF are working so hard to provide opportunities to get people active, give people the chance to connect and provide endless hours of entertainment all through their Facebook and YouTube page.

I want to be able to help, so starting on the 26th of April, I plan on running 2.6 miles (about 4.1km) everyday for 26 days in less than 26mins (which means no daudling!)

Please help me by donating any amount that you can. I will be so grateful, and I know all the people who benefit from the MMF will be too.

UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.

About the charity

We are a registered charity, founded by those experiencing social exclusion and marginalised within our communities as a result of complex disability, age and medical conditions. We seek to make real change by removing barriers and creating inclusive environments which cater to the most complex of need and highlight ability, not disability. By ensuring we accommodate the most significant need, we can accommodate all abilities together
