BRISTOL HALF MARATHON (SABINE & JASPER RUN CRAZY)
06 September 2009 RAISING MONEY FOR CLIC SARGENT - CARING FOR CHILDREN
WITH CANCER.
PLEASE DONATE ALL YOU CAN.
Crazy run, it certainly is! The name
says it all. Two 30 somethings have a moment of madness and signed up for a
half marathon, yes you heard it, a half marathon! What were we thinking,
running a half marathon is our idea of hell! The last time we ran was to catch
the bus and it almost killed us, not the bus, but the run!
Here is the story so far when it comes
to our running habits.
Sabine
Yes, yes, yes..... This is her mantra
when it comes to running. At school she loved to run, yes, just like Forest
Gump, but female and with a highly competitive edge, she just couldn't get
enough. At a young age she enjoyed running and took part in competitions and
did Germany proud.
Then one day after a very long break,
she thought it would be a good idea to unleash her hidden talent and decided it
would be a good idea to run the Bristol half and stupidly Jasper agreed too!
What was he thinking - must have been the drink that was talking.
Jasper
Running? Mmmm! Can't think of anything
worse. This comes from a guy who loves to be active, but hates to run, even
after a bus! It's definitely not his forte. The last time he ran was at school,
cross country to be precise and even then he would have a sick note to get him
out of it.... was this because he has asthma or was it because he hated
running.. who knows?
Who is your money on? Lets look at the
statistics:
Sabine
Younger and better looking, longer legs, competitive nature, German efficiency, likes running, bad back
Jasper
Older and uglier, shorter legs, competitive streak, stiff upper lip, hates running, asthma
