Story
Jaycee asked me if she could raise money for some charity and I happened to come across The Bone Cancer Research Trust which is dedicated to saving lives & improving outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer.
It’s not going to be easy to do for a 8 year old . Jaycee is up for the challenge. We’ve worked out it’s around 67 Burpees a day. WOW !! This will be split down into groups and completed throughout the day.Jaycee is a competitive Cheerleader , a Senior Red belt in TKD (Jnr Black next) and also does CrossFit once a week. I’m sure there will be some burpees in these classes somewhere , which can be added up.
We don’t personally know anyone with Bone cancer but we know people who’s family are effected by it.
Every penny counts. If Jaycee gets £150 she will receive a medal.
Despite being small, they fund more research projects exploring primary bone cancer than any other organisation. Other large UK cancer research charities do not prioritise bone cancer patients, in 2019 just 0.028% of their research spend went to bone cancer – not even close to 1%!Last year alone, Bone Cancer Research Trust committed an incredible £807,824 to pioneering bone cancer research - to save lives!
