Story

Our team consists of 6 walkers some who have served  for us ,This walk is about personal courage and sacrifice from ordinary people from all walks of life.  Bakers, mechanics, engineers, footballers, fathers and sons.  We will be walking the D-Day beaches in France.  This will be a 60 mile walk.  Day One will be setting off from Pegasus Bridge liberated by the Parachute Regiment. After visiting the Gondree cafe at 10:00, walking up to Ouistreham at Sword beach, continuing on to Juno beach and staying overnight at Graye sur mer.  Day Two, walking along Gold beach via Arromanches to Port en Bessin then staying overnight.  Day Three, walking to Grand camp Maisy passing Omaha beach and cemetery, where around 2000 American soldiers lost their lives on the first day.  We will stay overnight at Grand camp Maisy then head off the next morning to Carentan where we will finish the walk and stay overnight at Utah beach.  Day Four we will spend in Saint Mere Eglise.  This will on 6/6/17 - 73 years to the day the historic landing took place that cost the lives of around 4400 allied soldiers.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM!
