Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Jeff, my husband and father to John, Abbie and Christina died in February 2005, aged 50, after a 16 month battle with a brain tumour.
Jeff worked as an IT consultant for over 30 years, and wrote CompEat, one of the countries leading nutritional analysis software packages.
We would like to raise as much money as possible to help fund Professor John Darling's research at Wolverhampton University, into adult Gliblastoma Multiforme, and hope a cure will soon be found for this horrible disease. You can read more about the research project on the Brain Tumour UK website.
Thanks to all who sponsored me, Abbie and Chrissy to run the Robin Hood half marathon on September 11th. We all finished without injuries. My time was 2 hours and 5 minutes. Abbie and Christina did brilliantly and finished in 2 hours and 38 minutes without doing any training, so how fast could they run if they trained! If you haven't already donated then please do. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Brain Tumour UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor us now! Many thanks for your support. Sharon wife of Jeff who is greatly missed.
